Delivrd vs CarEdge: which car negotiation service fits you

Delivrd and CarEdge Concierge cost about the same, roughly $1,000 per car, and both put a human negotiator between you and the dealer. The difference is structure. Delivrd is a small, founder-led team with a personal style. CarEdge is a larger company that pairs human concierges with an AI agent and a big library of free guides.

Both companies publish their own terms, and neither is perfectly consistent across its pages. The facts below come from each company's site and from press coverage, as of October 2026, with links so you can check the current version yourself. SnagMyCar is a third option, and we cover where it fits at the end, but most of this page is about the two of them.

How Delivrd works

Delivrd begins with a consult call covering the car you want, your budget, timing, trade-in and delivery. The team contacts dealers, requests window stickers, pulls out the door pricing and compares finance terms. The agreement promises at least two ranked options. You choose, and Delivrd negotiates and closes. It also negotiates trade-ins and sometimes gets free home delivery.

The founder is the brand. He livestreams negotiations on TikTok and YouTube, and the company has had heavy 2026 press, including The Hustle and Moneywise via Yahoo Finance. The second piece put the team at about five negotiators and reported that some dealers hang up on the founder because of his profile. That cuts both ways: a recognizable advocate can be intimidating at the desk, and a small team limits how many deals run at once.

How CarEdge works

CarEdge sells three levels of help. The Concierge is the closest match to Delivrd: an intake call, then a dedicated human who handles research, dealer outreach, test-drive scheduling, negotiation, paperwork review, trade-in and delivery. CarEdge says nothing is finalized without your approval.

The AI Buying Agent is a different product. It creates a throwaway email and phone number, contacts nearby dealers for itemized out the door prices, pushes back on junk fees and returns offers for you to approve. You can let it run on its own or review each message. The Pro plan is a research subscription for buyers who want to negotiate themselves.

CarEdge is also a large publisher. Its free guides on topics like negotiating a car by email show up widely in search. Its own pricing is not fully consistent: its car buying services comparison guide lists Concierge at $400 to $1,200 and the AI agent at $99 to $199, while the checkout pages show $999 and $49.99. Confirm the price on the page where you actually pay.

Human negotiator or AI agent

CarEdge is candid about the limits of its own AI. Its guide "Can AI negotiate a car deal for me" says AI is weaker at the final step and that AI plus a human closes deals. If you are tempted by the $49.99 agent, treat it as a way to collect opening quotes, then expect to finish the deal yourself or upgrade.

Delivrd has no AI tier. Every deal is human-run, which is why its fee doesn't flex down.

Refunds and risk

Neither company publishes a savings guarantee for its human service. Delivrd is explicit that the fee is non-refundable once work begins. CarEdge's AI agent can be refunded only before outreach starts; after dealers are engaged, the search is yours for 30 days. We could not find Concierge refund terms on the pages we reviewed, so ask before you pay the $999.

In practice, both services charge their full fee up front or at the start. If the deal they find is only slightly better than what you could get by email, you have still paid about $1,000.

Which one to choose

Choose Delivrd if you want a single, visible advocate with a strong personality, you value the group-text style of communication, and you are comfortable with a non-refundable fee. Choose CarEdge if you want a concierge backed by a larger organization, coverage it says spans all 50 states, test-drive coordination, or the option to start cheaply with the AI agent and its research tools.

If price matters most, CarEdge's Perks at Work page lists a 25 percent member discount, which brings Concierge to $749.25, according to CarEdge. Delivrd has no published discount.

Where SnagMyCar fits as a third option

SnagMyCar is narrower and cheaper. The fee is $499: a $99 deposit and a $400 success fee charged only after the winning dealer's buyer's order matches the price you picked. We email every matching in-stock car at franchised dealers in your radius for written, itemized out the door quotes, send the best number back to the others to beat, then make a final call to the top two. Quotes are ready in about 3 to 4 days. If we don't beat the best written out the door quote you already have, the $99 is refunded.

The tradeoffs are real. We serve eight states right now: Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Delaware, Vermont, Wyoming and Idaho. We handle new cars only, we don't negotiate trade-ins, and we work by email rather than phone. If you need any of those things, Delivrd or CarEdge will serve you better. If you know the exact car and live in one of our states, compare the details on SnagMyCar vs Delivrd, read how SnagMyCar works and our pricing, or see the full best car buying services roundup and our list of TrueCar alternatives. Questions

Is CarEdge Concierge cheaper than Delivrd?

Barely. CarEdge lists its Concierge at $999 per car and Delivrd charges $1,000 per deal, as of October 2026. CarEdge also lists a 25 percent discount through Perks at Work, which brings Concierge to $749.25. Delivrd adds $250 to change trim or features and $500 to switch cars mid-deal; we found no similar change fees on CarEdge's pages.

Does the CarEdge AI agent replace a human negotiator?

Not fully, by CarEdge's own account. Its guide on whether AI can negotiate a car deal says AI is weaker at the final step and that AI plus a human closes deals. The $49.99 beta agent is useful for collecting itemized out the door quotes from nearby dealers, but expect to finish the negotiation yourself or move up to a human service.

Which serves more states, Delivrd or CarEdge?

CarEdge says its Concierge serves all 50 states. Delivrd does not publish a state list; its homepage mentions using out-of-state dealerships. Many states regulate car buying agents, so whichever you choose, confirm the service can work on a purchase in your state before you pay. Terms are as of October 2026.

Do Delivrd or CarEdge guarantee savings?

Neither publishes a savings guarantee for its human service, as of October 2026. Delivrd's fee is non-refundable once work begins. CarEdge's AI agent is refundable only before dealer outreach starts, and we could not find Concierge refund terms on the pages we reviewed. Ask for the refund policy in writing before paying either one.

How is SnagMyCar different from Delivrd and CarEdge?

SnagMyCar costs $499 and works by email, collecting written, itemized out the door quotes from every matching dealer in your radius over two rounds and a final call. If we don't beat the best written quote you already have, the $99 deposit is refunded. We serve eight states, handle new cars only and don't negotiate trade-ins, so Delivrd or CarEdge may suit buyers who need more.
