A new car purchase handled for executives, in writing

SnagMyCar handles the dealer side of a new car purchase for executives. You send the exact car or your configurator build, we get written, itemized out the door quotes from every franchised dealer in your radius, make them compete, and check the final paperwork. You visit no showroom before signing, or none at all with delivery. The fee is $499.

Delegate the dealer, keep the decision

Executives delegate most things, but a car purchase tends to resist it. The dealer wants the buyer on the phone, in the showroom for a test drive, and in the finance office for an hour at the end. Our process separates the parts that need you from the parts that do not. You decide the car and choose the winning quote. We do the sourcing, the rounds of bidding and the line by line check of the buyer's order. Each decision reaches you as a written summary you can read between meetings.

If a chief of staff or executive assistant manages your inbox, everything is in writing, so they can follow where the search stands. The choice of quote and the signature on the buyer's order stay with you, because you are the buyer of record.

Time is the obvious reason to hand this off. Cox Automotive's 2025 car buyer study found the total time to buy a vehicle runs just under 14 hours. With us, your share is a short brief at the start and one decision at the end.

Discretion

Some buyers would rather not have every dealer in the region know they are shopping for a high-end car, or have their name passed around a sales floor. Dealers work through us until you choose. Only the winning store needs your details, to write the buyer's order and title the car. There is no lead form that sends your phone number to a dozen stores, and no follow-up calls to your office line.

Luxury, exotic and allocation-limited cars

We work with luxury and exotic brands sold through US franchised dealers, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Aston Martin, Lotus and Maserati, along with every mainstream and premium brand that sells through dealers. On the most sought-after models, the negotiation is rarely about a discount. It is about terms like these:

  • whether the dealer adds a market adjustment over sticker, stated as its own line
  • the deposit amount, when it becomes non-refundable, and what happens if the delivery date slips
  • which build slot or allocation the dealer will commit to in writing
  • any conditions the dealer attaches to an allocation

We get all of that in writing from every store in your radius that can sell the car, then let them compete on it. Our page on luxury and exotic car buying goes into how those offers differ.

Factory orders for an exact specification

Many executives know the build they want down to the stitching, and the right car may not exist on any lot. Send us the build code or the summary from the brand's configurator. Dealers quote that exact build in writing: the price relative to sticker, any market adjustment, the deposit and its refund terms, and estimated allocation and delivery timing. The best written terms go back to the others to beat, just as with an in-stock car.

After you choose, we stay with the dealer through order confirmation and delivery, so status questions come to us instead of to your calendar. The full process is on the factory order page.

Relocations, new roles and timing

A new role often comes with a move. Set the search radius around the new city and choose delivery to your new home or office, so the car is waiting when you arrive. Give us the date you need it when you start, and dealers will quote cars or build slots that fit it.

If a relocation package or car allowance is involved, confirm with HR what it covers and how it must be documented before you buy. Questions about the tax treatment of an allowance or a company car, or about timing a purchase around a bonus, vesting or year end, belong with your own CPA. We do not give tax advice, and those answers depend on your situation.

Cash or financing

Some executives pay cash, and some prefer to finance. Either way, we compare complete out the door totals, so the price of the car should not change with the payment method. We do not arrange loans and take no money from lenders. If you finance, get a written rate from your private bank or a credit union and have the dealer beat it. Lenders commonly allow dealers about 2 to 2.5 percentage points of markup on the rate they charge the dealer, so an outside rate in hand keeps the finance office honest.

Delivery to your home or office

Delivery can often be arranged with the dealer, and we compare its cost against picking the car up yourself. Every quote shows an estimated pickup or delivery cost, and the list ranks by the total to your driveway. Ask the winning dealer how it handles signing at delivery; with the paperwork already checked, the handover can be short. For a car shipped from a dealer several states away, our guide to buying out of state covers the details.

The buyer's order check

When you choose a quote, the winning dealer sends a buyer's order at that exact number. We compare it line by line against the quote: price, doc fee, add-ons, taxes, title and registration. Charges that appear late are common, and our guide to dealer add-ons lists the common ones. Our $400 success fee is charged only when the paperwork matches. You then buy and title the car directly from the dealer. We never take title and never handle the purchase money.

Fee, guarantee and limits

The fee is $499, the same whatever the price of the car: $99 at signup and $400 after the buyer's order matches. If you already have a written out the door quote and we do not beat it, the $99 is refunded and you pay nothing. On allocation-limited cars, the value is often a removed markup, a fair deposit and a firm delivery slot rather than a discount off sticker, so weigh it on those terms. The pricing page has the full breakdown, and how it works covers each round.

We serve buyers in Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Delaware, Vermont, Wyoming and Idaho, because many states regulate or ban car buying agents. Direct-sale brands such as Tesla, Rivian, Lucid and Polestar have no dealers to negotiate with, and we do not handle used cars or leases yet.

Questions

Can my assistant handle the process for me?

Your assistant can follow every step, because it all happens in writing. The two decisions, which car and which quote, and the signature on the buyer's order stay with you as the buyer. Tell us at signup if someone else will be reading the emails, so the brief at the start is complete.

Do you handle Ferrari, Lamborghini or Rolls-Royce purchases?

Yes, when the car is sold through a US franchised dealer. We get written terms from every dealer in your radius that can sell it: price relative to sticker, any market adjustment, deposit and refund terms, and the allocation or build slot they will commit to. Then we let them compete.

How does a factory order work with you?

Send your configurator build code or summary. Dealers quote that exact build in writing, including any market adjustment, deposit, refund terms and estimated allocation and delivery timing. The best terms go back to the others to beat. After you choose, we stay with the dealer through order confirmation and delivery.

Is the fee different for an expensive car?

No. The fee is $499 whatever the price of the car: $99 at signup and $400 after the buyer's order matches the quote you chose. If we do not beat your best existing written out the door quote, the $99 is refunded. On allocation cars, judge the value by terms secured, not a discount.

Can a company car allowance be used?

Ask HR what the allowance covers and how the purchase must be documented, and ask your own CPA about any tax effect. We do not give tax advice. Once you know the rules, tell us the correct legal buyer at signup so the quotes and buyer's order match what your employer needs.
